The Highline Riding Lesson Program is designed to encourage a love for horses and riding in students of all ages, in a fun, non-competitive environment. We emphacize communication and building a bond between horse and rider, and each student works with the same horse and the same instructor in every lesson, developing a partnership with the horse and a friendship with the instructor. We do our best to pair up students with a horse and instructor who best fit the student's needs and can help them to achieve their riding goals.
Our instructor team is composed of high school and college-age students with considerable riding experience, who have completed a training program and are now part of our intern program, or have graduated from it, and their expertise and experience covers Western and English pleasure, hunter/jumper, Dressage, gymkhana, halter and showmanship, and low-level reining.
We can provide a lesson horse or teach you on your own. Our school horses are leased from the Bit of Class 4-H club. We can travel to your facility or one near you, or you can haul in. The facilities we have access to include an indoor arena, outdoor round pen, several outdoor arenas at various public equestrian parks, which include jumps, barrels, trail course, etc.
Among the benefits to being a student of Highline Horses are the opportunities to participate in horse shows, game days, summer camps, and fun events with other kids the same age or adults with the same passion for horses. Our program also instructs kids as to how to care for a horse of their own, and we help to get kids who wish to become involved with 4-H ready for a horse of their own, to lease or own.
Our Pony Pals Program also caters to individuals with special needs.
